Today I'm going to continue with the challenge and it's day eleven, so it's time for some polka dot nails. After getting those dot glitters from Adenina there wasn't really any other way to do these polka dot nails than to use those glitters as they were pretty much ment for this!
So I used two coats of Essie Licorice for every other nail and two coats of Zoya Perrie for the rest. Then I just placed pink dot glitters over Essie Licorice using regular top coat and black dot glitters over Zoya Perrie. These were pretty simple to do and the mani looked really amazing! Of course it took a little placing, but with a rhinestone picker the placing of those glitters wasn't too hard to do.
This was quite a bling-y mani as those glitters shine so much! Strangely enough though, those black glitters looked more grey than black here, eventhough they look black in the can. They're just not as black as that Essie Licorice, so next to that they looked grey. Overall, I have to say that I really liked this mani!

Eli 31 päivän haaste jatkuu ja vuorossa oli polka dot -kynnet. Sopivasti juuri sain Adeninalta noita pyöreitä dot glittereitä, joten nämä kynnet oli melkein pakko tehdä niitä käyttäen. Eli joka toiseen kynteen käytin Essien Licoricea ja joka toiseen Zoyan Perrietä, ja päällyslakkaa avuksi käyttäen asettelin pinkit ja mustat glitterit kynsiin. Näistä tuli aikas kimaltelevat, sillä nuo glitterit välkkyy ja kimaltaa todella paljon! Hassusti myös nuo mustat näyttää tässä lakkauksessa lähinnä harmailta glittereiltä, mutta se johtuu varmasti siitä kun vieressä on sysimusta Essien Licorice ja glitterit ei ihan niin mustia ole, vaikka siis mustilta muuten näyttävätkin. Tykkäsin joka tapauksessa tästä manista, se oli ainakin mukavan erilainen!
Huomenna on luvassa jotakin erilaista, suuntaan nimittäin I Love Me -messuille! Sain lipun messuille Messukeskuksesta, kiitos siitä! Täältä Joensuusta asti kun Helsinkiin lähtee, niin pitää junalle marssia jo aamu varhaisella, mutta uskoisin, että messut ovat kuitenkin sen arvoiset. Odotan innolla mitä kaikkea kivaa siellä onkaan! This manicure has been sitting in my folder for a long time. It's not because I didn't like the mani, but because the pictures made the mani look way more unflattering than it really was. I made the mistake of applying Kiko Sparkle Touch Multicolor Glitter Ivory (229) over the water marbling before taking any pictures. In real life the Kiko polish added some nice sparkle to the mani, but it doesn't look good in the pictures at all.
Also I managed to smudge some of the polish with the top coat, which was really a shame as I liked the mani very much. Of course you didn't see those smudges so well in real life either... But I thought I should still post this as I haven't posted any water marbling manicures for a while.
So I used two coats of China Glaze White Out as my base color and then used these polishes for the water marbling:
From left to right these are China Glaze White Out, OPI Skull & Glossbones, Zoya Perrie and China Glaze Light As Air. After the water marbling I added one coat of that Kiko 229. Like I said, I really liked how this mani looked (in real life) and I loved these colors together. I just wish I had gotten some better pics to show you guys...
So it's finally the end of the challenge for me! Today's task was a bit vague for me, but then I decided to done day 10 task of gradient nails with different twist. I've been seeing some great ombre manis lately and at least Sannu at SanNails and Deniz at Emerald Sparkled did some ombre nails for the day 10 of the challenge. So I wanted to also give it a try and desided to do a purple ombre, mainly because I have many purple polishes in my stash and I thought it would be most easy to find purples that would match for the mani. Well, even though I have so many purples it wasn't easy to find those perfect polishes for the ombre mani.. Anywho, here's my take on it:
Beginning from my pinky I used Nubar Toga Purple, OPI Pamplona Purple, Zoya Perrie and Orly Lollipop, each polish is two coats, no base or top coat. I think this is really a fun look and easy way to make more interesting mani than just the regular one with one color. Though you need to have quite many polishes in your stash to achieve that ombre look, at least I struggled a bit in finding the right polishes and when I was done with the mani, I thought I should have done even better job choosing those colors...
But that's it! The challenge is now over, just in time before I need to leave for my vacation. I had really great time with this and I also tried some things I think I might have not tried if there wasn't this challenge. So I have to say that I'm really glad I did this. I also have enjoyed very much seeing other bloggers do this challenge too. So if you're doing it or maybe just starting it, please let me know in the comments! :) I hope that you didn't get too bored because it took me quite long to finish this.. Now I just have to figure out how to paint my nails without someone telling me what to do, lol.
I have just a quick comparison for you today. My last post was H&M Lolita and well, I noticed I had at least two colors that were quite alike, so I compared them to you.
So I have H&M Lolita on my index and pinky nail and Zoya Perrie on middle and Jesse's Girl Spring Break on my ring finger nail. All three looked quite alike in bottles, but Spring Break is clearly more blue toned on nail. Perrie and Lolita are almost dupes but Perrie is a tad darker. I think there's no reason to own both Lolita and Perrie, and well, I would probably invest to Perrie as Zoya's quality is better than H&M's. But then again, Zoyas are quite diffucult to get at some places (like here in Finland) so Lolita is a nice alternative if you're looking one. The color isn't particularly unique and I think almost every brand has probably atleast one color that is close to all these too.
I have another Zoya for you today and I have to say this is really becoming one of my favourite brands.
So this is Perrie from last summer collection called Flash. I have two coats here, no base or top coat. I have few purple cremes, but none of them comes really close to this as this is more warm toned purple. So I'm really glad I have this one now too and it was, again, nice quality as it needed just two coats and went on really nicely. So yeah, I think I need to get me some more Zoyas, oh no! That isn't really good news to my wallet, lol..
