Roses are Red - Manicure #Makeupfactory

Red Roses Nail Art 

Good Evening!
Remember last week's Kinetics Store Opening I showed you here? This as are the nails I wore in the event. I made this manicure to match my clothes and I ended up faling in love with the roses.

Lembram-se do evento da Kinetics, a semana passada? Abriu uma loja Kinetics em Lisboa e fui lá espreitar! Esta foi a manicure que levei ao evento, para combinar com a camisola que levava. Acabei por me apaixonar por estas rosas.

For this nailart I used Kinetics Leather Private Jet ( see review here) and MakeUp Factory 481- Pin Up Red (provided for review*). 
The stamping plate used was MoYou-London Pro Collection 07 and the stamping polish was Risqué Preto Fosco (review here). For the thumb I used Mollon Pro Top Coat Power Shine. As for stamping polish on the thumb I used Mollon Pro 169 - Odile ( Review here). 

Para esta Nail Art usei o Kinetics Leather Private Jet ( review aqui) e o MakeUp Factory, 481- Pin Up Red (*Enviado para review*).
A placa usada foi a MoYou-London Pro Collection 07 e o verniz para carimbar o Risque Fast Fashion 01 - Preto Fosco (review aqui). No polegar usei o Top Coat Mollon Pro Top Coat Power Shine sobre o Kinetics Leather. Para carimbar as rosas do polegar usei o Mollon Pro 169 - Odile (Review aqui).

Mollon Pro Top Coat Power Shine Acts like gelous on glitter but is an actual top coat that dries fast. Ever since I started using it I gave up on gelous ( that, for those who don't  know, is a base!)
O Mollon Pro Top Coat Power Shine funciona como o Gelous sobre os glitters e acabamentos texturizados mas seca bem mais depressa que o gelous e é um top coat.


Pin Up Red is one of the best red polishes I have ever tried. This formula is very pigmented but still very fluid. The polish covers the nail in two very thin coats and dies in less than 5 mins. The finish is creamy and shiny! 
O Pin Up Red é um dos melhores vermelhos ( em termos de fórmula) que já usei. A fórmula é super pigmentada mas surpreendentemente fluida. A unha fica coberta com 2 finas camadas e seca em menos de 5 mins. O acabamento é bastante cremoso e brilhante.

Roses stamped over a favorite skittle base


Hello everyone!



'Stamping over a skittle base' was the challenge in the group 'Adventures in Stamping' this Sunday. I was very stressed and didn't know what colors to choose for my base. Then I said to myself; "If you choose your favorites, you can't go wrong". So I did. Well, these are definitely on my top 10 list at the moment, but that might change next month. I also wanted them to look good together, so I didn't include a bright one and some holos that I also love. The nail polishes look different in different light, so on many photos only two nails look their best. I also tried to take step by step photos, but I will not show them in this post.

Used:

Thumb: Nfu- Oh: #56 (green jelly with green flakies and microglitter) layered over Pieces: Pine Green (green cream)
Index finger: Nfu- Oh: #51 (purple jelly with flakies and microglitter that shift from green to orange to red, but looks mainly pink here)
Middle finger: Ninja Polish: Divinity (bronze shimmer that can shift to green, in purple base)
Ring finger: Enchanted Polish: Magical Mystery Tour (very multicrome and a little scattered holographic)
Pinky: Ciaté: love letter #112 (pink- orange glitter)

Konad: Black SP

On the thumb I used 2 coats over the dark green base (Pine Green). On the other nails I think I used 3 coats. I used base- and top coat, but the glitter also got a layer of Posché.



After a visit to a farm with some attention seeking animals, I had to help one nail a little. I also learned that it's not a good idea to apply water resistant sun block if you have no time for extra clean- up. I managed to ruin the top coat on one nail during the extra clean up, so I added top coat on those two. Most of the photos were taken after I came home.

S is for ...

I was really inspired this weekend; I've really missed doing nail art! This is actually a design I sketched up and then realized that it worked perfectly for S in the ABC Challenge.

S is for ... Spring Scene.

You should be expecting this by now, but I used my eyeshadow applicators and Revlon Garden and Sinful Colors Exotic Green to create a leafy texture as a base. The white picket fence came next, hand drawn with a nail art brush, and the flowers were started with a dotting tool and finished with a nail art brush.

With recent temperatures reaching into the single digits, I'm really longing for some flowers!
