Saran Wrap Mani with Essie Head Mistress, Flormar Jewel Gold JG453 and Nail Studs

I haven't done a saran wrap mani for a while, so I decided it was about time to do one. I also wanted to use those pattern studs* that I got from Adenina and I thought they would go really well together with the saran wrap look.

So I used Essie Head Mistress and Flormar Jewel Gold JG453 for the saran wrap. I intentionally chose the red studs for this as they were quite close to my base color. This way they aren't too visible, but with a closer look you notice that there's an extra element in the mani. I really liked this combination of the saran wrap look and the studs, though it was quite hard to photograph as once again I managed to choose colors that look good in real life, but my camera struggles to capture them.

I have to say that I really love these studs! They are something special compared to regular one colored studs and there are some really great colors in the wheel. They are a bit more expensive than some other ones that I've bought myself (7,95€), but the wheel is really big and there's good amount of every color and shape in the wheel, so you get quite an amount of studs.

There's 12 different styles in the wheel and check them all out in my haul post here where I have a close-up picture of all the different studs. I was a bit affraid how these studs would do with top coat, but it didn't ruin the pattern or anything like that, so it was really unnecessary concern.

I also took some pictures of the saran wrap mani without the studs so that you could see it better:
I really liked this color combination of red and orange, it was actually quite appropriate color combination for the first days of September. Also the shimmer in Flormar Jewel Gold JG453 is really beautiful!

I did these nails for our little vacation to Russia, to St. Petersburg and this is actually planned post as I'm currently (hopefully) enjoying my time and views there! And of course hopefully doing some nail polish shopping... :D

Something Old, Something New...

I already posted a manicure earlier today, but I thought it was about time to do a haul post as it's been over a month since I posted my last haul post. So there's going to be quite a few polishes in this one... I have done couple group orders, I have gotten little something to try and review and I've also bought quite a few polishes from blog sales and from a Facebook group, so there's quite a few of those second hand polishes in this post too. That's where the not-so-witty tittle came from, though in this haul there isn't anything borrowed or anything that would be strictly blue... but something old and something new anyhow! Let's take a closer look, shall we... Oh, and it's also probably worth to take a look at the end of this post too as I played around a bit with the polishes and took some close-ups of some of the bottles!

So first off is the products that I chose for a review from Adenina. I really wanted to try out those studs that have those cool colors and patterns in them as they are really something new for me and I haven't seen them around in blogs too much! I also wanted to try out a textured polish from Depend and I chose the color Jade Vine. I also added couple water decals to my order, which I technically paid my self as I got to choose product(s) worth of 10€ for review and I already exceeded the sum with the polish and the studs. But those decals were on sale, so I wanted to include them too and I didn't really mind paying a little of the polish and the studs too as I really wanted them both!

There are 12 different types of studs in the wheel and I really can't wait to try these! They look so awesome!

I had a discount code to I Love Nail Polish Boutique and I of course had to use it so we did a little group order and I got these four polishes. Angel Burp and All Gold Everything were already 40% off as they were those end of life polishes and Glass Slipper and A Gold Orchid looked so pretty that I had to have them... I really love the subtle colors in both Glass Slipper and Angel Burp and I'm sure they will look good layered over some nice base color. All Gold Everything will probably fill the void in my stash as I haven't had a great gold topper (and it has some round glitters in it!). A Gold Orchid has also some round glitters and the mix of colors is really interesting, can't wait to see how it looks on nail!

I also took part to a second group order, this time to Kosmetik4Less and I got some make-up stuff, but also three Essence polishes. These are all pretty basic colors, I'll have to see how I like them on nail and how they behave. A really sweet friend of mine was in Spain earlier this summer and she picked up Kiko Sugar Mat Hot Pink for me as I still wanted to include that to my Sugar Mat collection. It's really bright and pink, so I'm not sure if I will like to wear it alone, but combined with some other textured polish it will probably be awesome as it looks so pretty in the bottle!

Yet another group order was made to Harlow&Co. as they had KBShimmer polishes on sale. I tried to be reasonable and I only ordered two nail polishes that I have been lemming quite a while and I also wanted to try out the base coat. I would have wanted to try out KBShimmer top coat too, but unfortunately it was ut of stock before I made to the end of the order... I have also wanted for a long time to try out Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food as I do have quite a few of glitters in my stash, so when it was finally back in stock at Llarowe I had to order it. Of course there no point of ordering just one polish so included Darling Diva Holiday in my order and what a fun polish it is! It's really a round-glitter-lovers heaven! Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat is also something that I've been wanting to try out and incidentally another nail polish blogger had one extra so she sold it to me.
 
Then these last two pics are all those 2nd hand polishes that I talked about at the beginning of this post. Color Club Love 'em Leave 'em has always been that polish that I've been slightly interested in, but never bought anywhere, so I finally decided to try it out. I don't particularly like the brand of Flormar or at least I don't like the bottles, but they do have some pretty looking polishes and as a orange lover I just had to get this one. It's supposedly quite similar to China Glaze Riveting that I do already own, so will see if I think it's worth of having both.

All the rest of the polishes here (and actually the first two too) I pretty much bought as they were sold in reasonable prize. I like to try out lots of polishes to see which ones I like and which ones I don't and if I'm not too fond of something, I will try to sell it or swap it. The OPI one and the Zoya one are both pretty colors, but I do have quite similar polishes already, but we'll see what happens to them when I try them out. Serum No. 5 has been a brand that I've also wanted to try out, so I'm quite interested how Fame will look on nail. I've only had one Nicole by OPI polish before this and I prefer to have two or more polishes from the same brand in my stash instead of just one (silly me) and this is a really pretty glitter.
All these I also bought pretty much so that I can try them out and see how they are. China Glaze Glittering Garland is really a polish that I have somehow missed totally before, but it looks really awesome in the bottle, I hope it does look as good on nail too! Orly Rococo A-Go-Go is also a really pretty one in the bottle. I had already four polishes from Essie's this summer collection, but I still wanted to have Sunday Funday as the color is so fun and bright. I'm a little worried that it might not look that good on me, but we'll see. Lovie Dovie and Trophy Wife are both pretty colors, but nothing too unique... Actually Trophy Wife seems to be pretty close to Zoya Akyra, so I think I might not need both of them.

Flormar DC05


Duochrome in green/golden shades with a  metallic effect, this polish covers the nail in two coats. Drying time is around 5 mins. Brush is smooth and soft making application very easy.
I really loved how the polish ended up looking on my nails!
O Flormar DC05 tem um acabamento metálico  e duochrome nos tons de dourado e verde predominantes,no entanto eu poderia dizer que já se aproxima de um multichrome uma vez que em determinadas posições se pode ver a cor azul também. De qualquer modo, o verniz é lindissimo, a fórmula bem pigmentada, duas camadas para opacidade total. O pincel é longo, de cerdas macias o que facilita a aplicação. Cerca de 5mins de tempo de secagem.

My Stash: Gosh, Essence, Catrice, Golden Rose, Sally Hansen and more

Here comes the last post of my stash post series and I have the fourth drawer of my Helmer to show you. Remember to check the previous posts too, if you haven't already, you can find the first part here where I have also some general info about my stash, and the the second part here and third here.

So in the fourth drawer I have several different brands as it is pretty much the drawer that use for the polishes that I only own one or two or so. Also, I have some brands here too that I own more, but they don't really fit to the previous drawers. 

But here's how the drawer looks like:
Like you can see this one is also pretty full like all the rest of the drawers I've shown you.. But the again, if I can empty the last drawer where I keep all my untrieds (remeber that I moved all the untrieds to the drawers they would belong, so technically it was empty when I took the pics of the other drawers) then I could move some polishes around. Anyhow, like I said this is quite a mixed drawer, though there are some brands here too with several polishes, for example Essence, Gosh, Golden Rose, Lumene and so on. Also the swap with Akuma Kanji filled this dreawer quite a bit...

But let's take a closer look to all the polishes, right?!
So first off, there's the two P2 polishes that I own, Stormy and Gracious. Then I have only one Miss Selene and it's number 236, two H&M polishes Confetti Time and Pink Bling Bling, and then one Maybelline Express Finish polish called Denim Dash.
 
I'm not the biggest fan of the Models Own polishes, so I have only three (I've had more but they weren't that special..). These are Ibiza Mix, Sterling Silver and Purple Blue. Then I have one beauty uk polish and it's called Metallic Lilac and then two e.l.f. polishes that are Golden Goddess and Black.
 
I only have one Borghese polish, Raspberry Sorbetto. I also have only two Wet n Wild polishes, they are Kaleidoscope (one of my favourite glitter toppers) and Sunny Side Up. The two Mavala polishes I got from our previous meeting and they are Roma and Honolulu.

Then these are all different brands and I only own one polish from each brand. These are: Benecos Dream On (gotten from the meeting), BK Emerald Green Silver Shimmer (gotten from BPS), Eyeko Cosmic Polish, Celia Woman Nr 2 (gotten from beautycosmetic.biz), Donegal Beauty Shine (doesn't have number or name on it, also gotten from beautycosmetic.biz), We Care Icon Macig Asteroid (gotten from the meeting) and Kicks Fab Jean.

Next off are all my GOSH polishes: Powder, Milky Way, Vanilla Ice, Rainbow, Holographic, Gasoline and Purple Heart.
 
Then I have three Jesse's Girl polishes: Confetti, Spring Break and Glee, one Maybelline Colorama called Worn In and one Barielle polish called A Bouquet For Ava.
 
I also the three Teeez! holographic polishes thanks to the awesome Reile from the Netherlands. They are: Cool, Outta Control and Smooth. The two Catrice polishes are Gold Leaf Top Coat and Dirty Berry (gotten from my first swap with the lovely Ritterbraten).
 
I also have few Essence polishes, first off the older bottle versions: Wake Up!, Time For Romance, Blue Addicted, Out of My Mind (also gotten from the swap with Ritterbraten), Break Trough and Fateful Desire.

Then the newer bottle versions of Essence polishes: Oh My Glitter!, That's What I Mint!, Ballerina's Charm, Let's Get Lost, Grey-t To Be Here, Hello Marshmallow! (gotten from the swap with Akuma Kanji) and Miss Universe. 

The first three polishes here are somewhat special for me, because they are Berlin themed (and I loooooove Berlin!) and I only got them thanks to two awesome ladies (Reile and Ritterbraten)! The first one is Catrice polish called Berlin and the two Essence polishes are from the I Love Berlin LE collection and they are called Berlin Story and Love This City. Then I have also one of those Essence nail art special effect toppers, this one is called Mrs and Mr Glitter, and then I have two Gina Tricot polishes called Monaco Blue and Sparkling Hot.


Next off are all my Golden Rose Jolly Jewels polishes, these are numbers: 111, 113, 117, 118, 119, 121 and 123.
 
I also have two Golden Rose Matte Velvet polishes, numbers 107 and 101 and two Golden Rose Paris polishes, numbers 69 and 322. I only have two Flormar polishes, these are the duochrome ones numbers DC05 and DC06.
 
Then in the next two pics are some of those awesome polishes that Akuma Kanji sent me from Portugal, these are Andreia Pocket numbers 101, 106 and 108, Andreia Higicol numbers 37 and 70, Risque Cintilante Agreste and Yes Love polish from the caviar manicure set.
 
The polishes gotten from the swap continue: Inocos Amarelinho and Maria Menina, Leticia Well #426, Cliché Hippie and Maldivas, Carlos Santos #623 and DERMExcellence #32.
 
Then I have one Manhattan polish number 66G, three Kleancolor polishes: Chunky Holo Poppy, Chunky Holo Purple and Holo Chrome, and one Sinful Colors polish called Daddy's Girl.


The first two Mereneid brand polishes are also gotten from the meeting, but they don't seem to have any clear numbers or names on them. Then I have two Eveline polishes, the first one is number 412 and the second miniMAX one is number 411, then the last two are from a brand called DMGM, I bought these from Dubai and they are scattered holographic polishes called Grape Light and Cherry Light.
 
Then here's all my Sally Hansen polishes, first one is from the HD series and it's called DVD, then I have the three Lustre Shine polishes that I got from our meeting and they are called Lava, Plume and Scarab.
 
And then finally here are all my polishes from the Finnish brand called Lumene and these are Moment of Miracle, Queen of the Night, Beyond the Dark, I'm Losing You, With the Flow and Magical Moment.

Phew, now I've show you my whole stash! I though this was quite fun to go through the whole stash, I hope you've liked these posts too!
