Random Spam with China Glaze, Mavala and Sally Hansen

I have another quick random spam post for you guys today, this time with polishes from China Glaze, Mavala and Sally Hansen. If you are not familiar with random spam posts, I like to use these to post about some polishes that I feel like aren't maybe interesting enough for separate posts. This doesn't necessarily mean that I don't like the polishes or that they are somehow bad, usually I just have something more interesting to post about (like manicures with nail art or some other nail design).

So first off, I have China Glaze Hello Gorgeous!, three coats, no base or top coat. The name really suits this polish as it is really a gorgous light pink glitter. The first picture is taken in shade, the two after that are in sunlight. This was really a hard one to capture and it looks way better in real life than in my pictures. It's so much more sparkly and vivid than my pics made it look like.
 



Next off is Mavala Roma* (why Roma and not Rome?). I have two coats here with base and top coat. I got this polish from the goodie bag from our meeting and I was really interested in trying out these Mavala polishes as I have heard mainly bad things about them. Roma was a pretty decent polish, though I'm a bit disappointed with it as it first made me think that it was just an amazing red with really awesome formula. It covered nicely with just two coats and the color is really vivid, but it bubbled like crazy. I used it as a base color for my foil manicure, so it didn't really matter, but I think this won't become my go to red as I already have other red polishes with better formula. Maybe I could use this to do some frankening though...
 


Then the last one is Sally Hansen Lustre Shine polish called Scarab*, I have two coats here, no base or top coat. I got this one also from the goodie bag and I'd say I liked this way better than the Mavala one. It's not the color that I would be choosing first for my self, but it is still very pretty and it had really nice formula. It coveres with just two coats and it's not too brush stroke-y, at least not for me. Of course with this type of polish, there are always some visible brush strokes.

BPS Nail Foil

I have wanted to try out some nail foils for so long that I can't even remember, but somehow I've never done it before this. Actually, I didn't have any foils to try before I got this one from Born Pretty Store to test. They have 27 different colors and styles of foil and I chose the foil number 17* which is kind of a gradient with gold, red and magenta. However, I still don't own any nail foil glue, so I didn't even want to try to do my whole nails with the foil as I've heard it might be difficult without the glue. Still, I really like the look I got with a base color, some top coat and the foil.

I used Mavala Rome** as my base color for this mani. When it was completely dry, I dapped some Essence Gel-Look Top Coat irregularly on my nails and then placed the foil over it (the colored side up) and rubber it on with my fingers. Then I just removed the foil and that's how it got this nice shattered look. Of course I used also some top coat over the foil to make the mani last longer.

This look was pretty easy to do with just the polish, top coat and the foil, but you really need to be sure that the base color is completely dry, because otherwise it can all come off when you try to remove the foil. 

The foil comes in a little container like this and there's quite much of it, so you can do more than one or two manis with it (depending of course on the amount you use for one mani). I'd really like to try out more of this and maybe combine couple different colors of foil to one mani. I should also buy that nail foil glue, so that I could try out the whole nail look with this, though I think I might like it more this way.

My Stash: Gosh, Essence, Catrice, Golden Rose, Sally Hansen and more

Here comes the last post of my stash post series and I have the fourth drawer of my Helmer to show you. Remember to check the previous posts too, if you haven't already, you can find the first part here where I have also some general info about my stash, and the the second part here and third here.

So in the fourth drawer I have several different brands as it is pretty much the drawer that use for the polishes that I only own one or two or so. Also, I have some brands here too that I own more, but they don't really fit to the previous drawers. 

But here's how the drawer looks like:
Like you can see this one is also pretty full like all the rest of the drawers I've shown you.. But the again, if I can empty the last drawer where I keep all my untrieds (remeber that I moved all the untrieds to the drawers they would belong, so technically it was empty when I took the pics of the other drawers) then I could move some polishes around. Anyhow, like I said this is quite a mixed drawer, though there are some brands here too with several polishes, for example Essence, Gosh, Golden Rose, Lumene and so on. Also the swap with Akuma Kanji filled this dreawer quite a bit...

But let's take a closer look to all the polishes, right?!
So first off, there's the two P2 polishes that I own, Stormy and Gracious. Then I have only one Miss Selene and it's number 236, two H&M polishes Confetti Time and Pink Bling Bling, and then one Maybelline Express Finish polish called Denim Dash.
 
I'm not the biggest fan of the Models Own polishes, so I have only three (I've had more but they weren't that special..). These are Ibiza Mix, Sterling Silver and Purple Blue. Then I have one beauty uk polish and it's called Metallic Lilac and then two e.l.f. polishes that are Golden Goddess and Black.
 
I only have one Borghese polish, Raspberry Sorbetto. I also have only two Wet n Wild polishes, they are Kaleidoscope (one of my favourite glitter toppers) and Sunny Side Up. The two Mavala polishes I got from our previous meeting and they are Roma and Honolulu.

Then these are all different brands and I only own one polish from each brand. These are: Benecos Dream On (gotten from the meeting), BK Emerald Green Silver Shimmer (gotten from BPS), Eyeko Cosmic Polish, Celia Woman Nr 2 (gotten from beautycosmetic.biz), Donegal Beauty Shine (doesn't have number or name on it, also gotten from beautycosmetic.biz), We Care Icon Macig Asteroid (gotten from the meeting) and Kicks Fab Jean.

Next off are all my GOSH polishes: Powder, Milky Way, Vanilla Ice, Rainbow, Holographic, Gasoline and Purple Heart.
 
Then I have three Jesse's Girl polishes: Confetti, Spring Break and Glee, one Maybelline Colorama called Worn In and one Barielle polish called A Bouquet For Ava.
 
I also the three Teeez! holographic polishes thanks to the awesome Reile from the Netherlands. They are: Cool, Outta Control and Smooth. The two Catrice polishes are Gold Leaf Top Coat and Dirty Berry (gotten from my first swap with the lovely Ritterbraten).
 
I also have few Essence polishes, first off the older bottle versions: Wake Up!, Time For Romance, Blue Addicted, Out of My Mind (also gotten from the swap with Ritterbraten), Break Trough and Fateful Desire.

Then the newer bottle versions of Essence polishes: Oh My Glitter!, That's What I Mint!, Ballerina's Charm, Let's Get Lost, Grey-t To Be Here, Hello Marshmallow! (gotten from the swap with Akuma Kanji) and Miss Universe. 

The first three polishes here are somewhat special for me, because they are Berlin themed (and I loooooove Berlin!) and I only got them thanks to two awesome ladies (Reile and Ritterbraten)! The first one is Catrice polish called Berlin and the two Essence polishes are from the I Love Berlin LE collection and they are called Berlin Story and Love This City. Then I have also one of those Essence nail art special effect toppers, this one is called Mrs and Mr Glitter, and then I have two Gina Tricot polishes called Monaco Blue and Sparkling Hot.


Next off are all my Golden Rose Jolly Jewels polishes, these are numbers: 111, 113, 117, 118, 119, 121 and 123.
 
I also have two Golden Rose Matte Velvet polishes, numbers 107 and 101 and two Golden Rose Paris polishes, numbers 69 and 322. I only have two Flormar polishes, these are the duochrome ones numbers DC05 and DC06.
 
Then in the next two pics are some of those awesome polishes that Akuma Kanji sent me from Portugal, these are Andreia Pocket numbers 101, 106 and 108, Andreia Higicol numbers 37 and 70, Risque Cintilante Agreste and Yes Love polish from the caviar manicure set.
 
The polishes gotten from the swap continue: Inocos Amarelinho and Maria Menina, Leticia Well #426, Cliché Hippie and Maldivas, Carlos Santos #623 and DERMExcellence #32.
 
Then I have one Manhattan polish number 66G, three Kleancolor polishes: Chunky Holo Poppy, Chunky Holo Purple and Holo Chrome, and one Sinful Colors polish called Daddy's Girl.


The first two Mereneid brand polishes are also gotten from the meeting, but they don't seem to have any clear numbers or names on them. Then I have two Eveline polishes, the first one is number 412 and the second miniMAX one is number 411, then the last two are from a brand called DMGM, I bought these from Dubai and they are scattered holographic polishes called Grape Light and Cherry Light.
 
Then here's all my Sally Hansen polishes, first one is from the HD series and it's called DVD, then I have the three Lustre Shine polishes that I got from our meeting and they are called Lava, Plume and Scarab.
 
And then finally here are all my polishes from the Finnish brand called Lumene and these are Moment of Miracle, Queen of the Night, Beyond the Dark, I'm Losing You, With the Flow and Magical Moment.

Phew, now I've show you my whole stash! I though this was quite fun to go through the whole stash, I hope you've liked these posts too!

Meeting with fellow nail polish enthusiasts vol. 2 (part 3)

So, I already posted about the meeting itself and what was in all of the goodie bags, but you probably also want to see also what was in my own goodie bag? So now I'm gonna show you that and talk something more detailed about some of the products too.

So first of were these Mavala and Sally Hansen products sent by Berner. I'm very interested to try that Mavala Oil Seal Dryer, just because it sounds really weird and interesting at the same time! It somekind of quick drying oil that gives "instant touch-dry manicure while taking care of your cuticles". I've never heard a product like this, so I'm eager to try it and see how it works!

Also of course I was very excited to get those Sally Hansen Lustre Shine polishes. I've been wanting to buy couple of those for a while and now I got three, yay! I think they sent us all the most interesting colors too:

My favourite one is probably Lava and it was the one that I was going to buy too, but the other two are really gorgeous too!

I got Mavala Honolulu and Roma and they both are really pretty colors. I know some Finnish nail bloggers that don't really like Mavala's polishes and I have only had two before, so I don't really have an opinion of the brand yet. So I'm interested to try these and see how they are.

We all got Dermosil Smoothing Nail Foundation, Top Coat and Primo Cuticle Cream from DermoShop. I'm of course happy about all the polishes that we got, but it was great to have some of these essential products too, because these are the ones that you need almost every day. I haven't tried Dermosil base or top coats before, so this is good way to get familiar with these. However, I usually use only quick drying top coats, so I'm not sure how I will like the regular one, but I will certainly give it a try!

I've used the cuticle oil already yesterday and today, and so far I really like it! The scent is really mild and good and I like the fact that this isn't too greasy, so you can use it during day time without worrying about getting some oil or grease all over the place. I will keep testing this and I'll probably do a more detailed review later.

I got two of those same Lavera Basis Sensitiv hand creams from our fist meeting and I've already used one of these. I think it's really nice product as the tube is so small that it's handy to keep in your purse. However, this isn't moisturising enough for me alone, but for day time use it's fine. I have a revied of this hand cream coming up soon, so more about that later!
I've seen these Benecos polishes around, but I've never tried one, so I'm really interested in how this will be. This isn't probably my favourite color, but we'll see how it looks on nail. These were from Eco Beauty.

Norway Nails sent us some really nice polishes and I had some luck and ended up with three of those! The firs Pretty Serious polish I got in swap and then the second one and the Rainbow Honey one I got from my goodie bag. The Rainbow Honey polish is called Sweet Talk and it looked so delicious that I had to try it, so I have it on my nails right now (I will have the post about it tomorrow for you guys!).

Pretty Serious and Rainbow Honey are both new brands for me, so I'm glad to have these to try!
The loose glitters and the nail crystals are from BellaNails and the Wet n Wild Nail Care pen is from JTBeauty Outlet. The nail care pen is also something that I've never tried before, so I'll have to see how it works. The smells seems to be a bit weird for me, I'd even say it smells quite bad, but thankfully the smell doesn't stay on your nails or cuticles for long. I'll have a more detailed review of this too, after I've used it for a while.

So these all came from different sponsors: China Glaze Pink-ie Promise is from Mimax, Catherine Arley is from Beauty Cosmetic, Color Club Splitting Image is from CesarsShop, We Care Icon Magic Asteroid is from Sokos and Miss Selene 236 is from BBE. I had a bit of luck with these too, as I got the China Glaze polish that I didn't already have and the other ones look all really gorgeous too! The only one that I'm not that excited about is the Color Club crackle polish, just because I already have couple crackle polishes and I don't seem to use them that often. But I don't have a blue one yet, so maybe I will figure out some great combo with this one.

I have few of those Catherine Arley holographic polishes and I've really liked the brand, so I think I will like this one too!
Unfortunately, this seems to be missing the sticker where the number of the polish should be, so I can't tell you what it is. But it looks really gorgeous, right?!

I have a week spot for light browns/taupes with silver or golden shimmer, so I'm pretty sure I will love this one too! Miss Selene is a new brand for me also, so I'm happy to give it a try.
 
These four Bundle Monster plates (BM 218, BM 224, BM 301 and BM 316) and the water decals came from Adenina. There are some really nice images in these plates, but I'm not sure when I will have the confidence to try them, because every time I try to do some stamping I just end up with a lot of mess and nothing else... Oh well, at least I know how to use those water decals! :D
 
I've also never tried any of Mereneid products, so now I have great chance to try them! Like I said, there's always need for good base and top coats and that Cuticle Oil (the purple one) smells really good (it's Freesia-scented). Also, I'm a orange lover, so I will probably find use for the orange polish too!

The glitter polish looks really interesting too, it has a green tinted base, so I'll have to see how it work layered over different colors.

The Bos sent everyone of us all these products. There were some different color options, but I got the pretty pink make-up bag and the Maybelline Express Finish polish called Denim Dash. My boyfriend was so eager to try those toe nail scissors that they are already out of the package.. :D

Last but not least are the two bright and summery Essie polishes from L'Oreal Finland. These are called Lights and Action and they are from Essie's last summer collection called Poppy-Razzi. Essie is one of my favourite brands, so I will certainly use these!
