For those who don't know what I am talking about (Follow me through Facebook to know a lot more!) I am making an Indie Guide A-Z! This will be a huge project and a enormous pleasure to do! So .. what am I going to do? Everyday, I'm going to show you a different brand of Indie Nail Polishes (and some of their major stockists too!! )
* * *
Your Name: Betsy Kartelo
Brand Name: Sparkle Factor Lacquer
Where are you from? Indiana (USA)
When have you started? I started making polishes in December of 2012 and began selling them on Etsy in the middle of February 2013.
Is there a story behind the name of your brand? I love SPARKLE and I wanted my polishes all to be extremely sparkly. Some are more so than others, so I came up with 'The Sparkle Factor'. I didn't like that for the brand name because I needed to tie it to nail polish somehow, so I came up with Sparkle Factor Lacquer! It's quite perfect for my product, I think. :)
How many polishes/collections have you created? So far I have created around 40. I haven't made collections yet, but need to start doing so. Is there a special polish/collection? Why? Sparkly Exterior. It's the first of my creations and it's the one I kept getting so many compliments on. It's what led me to open my shop on Etsy!
Where you a polish addicted before starting making polishes? Absolutely. I haven't counted, but I'm certain I have at least 200 polishes.
Did you have a blog before making polishes or have you started one after? No, I do not have a blog. It's something I've thought to start, but I haven't found the time just yet. I'm busy enjoying reading everyone else's.
Whats your favorite thing about making polishes? I just like to see what I will come up with next. When I sit down to make new polishes, more often than not, I don't have anything in particular in mind. So, once I have everything 'thrown' in the bottle and am ready to mix it up, I can't ever wait to see the end product. I've only had 2 that I haven't liked
Can you tell us a curious thing that has happened to you with some client or something funny? My friend's mother was trying some of my polishes on and she decided to purchase 2 of them. My friend left with her father and returned 15 minutes later. My friend was going to pay for the order and her mother would pay her back later. My friend gave me money for two and I told her that she still owed me for 3 more because her mother wanted 5! :)Is there anything you'd Like to share:

Swatches - Neon Lights
This gorgeous polish is a glitter top coat in a clear base filled with neon glitters of different sizes and shapes.It includes hexagons, glitter bars and stars, as you can see in the pictures. I is very easy to apply as there is a lot of glitter in the bottle. The glitters spread nice and evenly.
It was applied in two coats over Purple Professional nr 65. Dried pretty leveled, no bumps!
