Top 5 Nail Trends
Want to keep up on the upcoming nail trends for 2010? Look no further, TheLuxurySpot has the scoop!
1.) Pastels
It’s not just for Easter Sunday – these colors are coming back in a major way for the transition from winter to spring. Start now with transitional colors like yellows and oranges, but once the flowers begin to bloom – it’s pastel pinks, purples & greens all the way. We know LC digs her minty green digits, right? Find pastels from American Apparel Make it edgy with a layer of Sugar Glitter polish from CND ($11 at salons)
2.) Minxy Silver & Bronze
We know, Gaga’s all over this full on liquid metal sensation. We saw it on the Baby Phat (model below in CND’s Gold Chrome) & Catherine Malandrino runways gold foil style for Spring 2010 NYFW, and we hope it sticks around.
3.) Matte
Bryce may not be a huge fan, but this trend doesn’t seem to be dieing down. CND’s $8 matte top coat can turn any of your polish choices in to a matte look without the commitment. We suggest topping your darker colors with this matte looke, for a sophistication that can’t be beat. And if you’re a dude , this is the top coat you’re looking for. No more shiny, lady nails for you!
4.) Neon
Well, well, well. We meet again. I’m not sure this trend ever went in/out of style, but I’ve been rockin’ it for years. Glad to see i’m ‘in’.  We’re thinking China Glaze‘s Up & Away line will solve any and all of your neon ( or pastel) needs, upon it’s release in April 2010. Look out for Steph’s review – you’ll most likely need shades.
5.) Early 90′s nonsense
If you thought neon was bad- you just wait for the factoid I’m about to drop. Irradescence is BACK. It’s easy to layer on some pearly, shimmery goodness your already neon colors, come April. The CND Colour Effects line is meant for just that. Layer and you’ve got a whole new, early 90′s esque color just waiting to be paired with a mood-ring. Me? I’m just wearing it alone? It’s eye catching, no?
