You have probably seen Oktoberfest everywhere, but here it's peeking through ORLY Sunglasses at Night and Nfu- Oh 51. I had planned to wear Oktoberfest on its own, but got some bubbles, and had thought about combining it with Nfu- Oh #51 since the first time I heard about it. I had expected Nfu- Oh 51 to look purple over Oktoberfest, and was a little sad because it didn't. I wanted to try my new Orly bar glitter, and liked it much better. What do you think?

Nfu- Oh #51- 1 coat
ORLY Sunglasses at Night- 1 coat
(I did this layering experiment the 2. October, and that is such a long time ago that I don't remember if these photos are taken before or after top coat, or if I used top coat at all...)

OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest is the aubergine/ dark dark dark purple nail polish, not the burgundy. I'm just telling you because some bloggers got mislabelled bottles. When you open the Oktoberfest bottle, you can see that the polish on the top of the bottle is blue. The burgundy is called "Germani-cure by OPI". Luckily I read what OPI had told Nailderella, before I ordered. I bought it when it was released in August. It's from the Germany collection.

I felt that this was too eye catching to wear, but the next day people didn't seem to notice.

I like that the mostly blue color of the bar glitter makes the redness of the flakies and the base more visible. I will probably try Sunglasses at Night over black some time to see what it looks like in person, but I'm not used to black nails, so I will probably wear this glitter over dark red or purple. It is the kind of holographic glitter that makes you move your hands and look at your nails and the changing color all the time. I wish the base was clear, but am glad that it isn't black. Next time I will use 3 coats, and then I'll see how dark the base gets. Sunglasses at Night is from this summer's Flash Glam FX Collection.

OPI and ORLY are on PETA's cruelty- free list :-D, but I still don't know if Nfu- Oh is tested on animals :-(
