Hairy Legs London - Bad Luck

Hi guys, today I have a swatch to show you from Hairy Legs London.  I have been sitting on this swatch for a while now - at first, it was because the shop was closed for the holidays, then when it re-opened, I just didn't quite get around to it until now :)

This is called Bad Luck, and I was actually lucky enough to win this in a giveaway way back in October, I think.  It's a mixture of metallic silver shards, blue-green iridescent clear shards, and white flakies.  This is 1 slightly thicker coat, over Revlon - Royal. The formula was pretty easy to work with, I don't think I had to place any extra shards on the nail, but it has been a while, so I could be wrong.
I love this polish, it really does look like pieces of a smashed mirror, and those blue-green iridescent shards are just beautiful.  I think this would look fantastic over any dark colour really, but blue and black would probably be my favourites.
I am pleased to be able to tell you that this polish is still available, despite my late posting, so if you like it, you can still find it in the Etsy store here.  You can also follow Hairy Legs on Facebook here.

UK Indie Month - Hairy Legs London - Monsters Boo!

Hello lacquer lovers! Today I am continuing with UK Indie Month, and I will be double-posting today.  There will be a bit of that going on until November, as I'm trying to post as many UK indies as possible in between the 33 day challenge and Fragrance Direct Friday which only leaves me with Tues, Thurs and Sunday to use!  Anyway, this beauty I have here is Monsters Boo! from Hairy Legs London, which is actually a replacement polish for Monstrous Crater.  The original developed a little reflective curling, and Sanita took them straight off the shelves, and introduced this polish instead.  That says a lot about how much she cares about the quality of her products, and the replacement is equally stunning, and very similar too.  Consider me impressed : D

Monsters Boo! is a mix of small blue holographic hexes, iridescent blue bars, metallic green & turquoise holographic circle glitter dots, bright metallic purple glitter, tiny emerald green glitter, a dash of turquoise blue flakies and some more iridescent glitter.  I have layered it over a gradient of Laval - Ultra Violet (medium purple), and Revlon Royal.  I used 1 thick coat here.  I did need to place the the big circle glitters, but getting them out the bottle was easier than getting me to buy polish! I seriously love this polish, I have a thing for bright blues and turquoises so this is perfect for me.
These pictures don't really capture the beauty of this polish.  At a normal distance it's super sparkly, and at times a little glowy.  I can see this polish looking great over so many colours, but I especially like it over this gradient.  I'd love to know what you guys think of this polish; what colour(s) would you pair this with?
mmmmmmmmm macro!

ps. If you pop over to her Etsy store, check out Cute Poison from her Halloween collection .  I got my bottle this morning and I am in major love!

Hairy Legs London - Tainted Love

Hi everyone, looking forward to the weekend?  As you may, or may not know, October is UK Indie month.  At the start of this month, I didn't own a single UK indie, mostly because I wasn't aware there were so many.  However, I'm pleased to say that I an now the proud owner of 21 of them! b(25 if you count A-England's)  I know, I have problems, but don't we all?

The beauty I am showing you today is Tainted Love by Hairy Legs London, and as you can see, even on the sad little nubbins I have in this photo, it's an absolute stunner!  In Sanita's words, Tainted Love consists of a dash of the magical colour-shift pigment, iridescent purple glitters, metallic fuchsia glitter dots, red holographic glitter, red holo hearts, black glitter and tiny (TINY) black bar/slice glitter. It is tinted ever so slightly purple (almost clear).
I've layered 1 coat here over Barry M - Plum ( a winning combo IMO).  There is a fantastic amount of glitter in this polish, I only had to dip my brush back in the bottle once to grab a heart when I wanted one, and it applied really easily. Unfortunately, this polish is a limited edition, as the pigment she uses has been discontinued so if you want it, you may need to pop over to Hairy Legs and grab one.
I love everything about this polish, I honestly don't think I'd change a single thing, but I'd love to know what you guys think.  I have quite a few Hairy Legs to show you (lol), but as I have so many new UK indies, I will try to get at least one from each brand I have posted first before it's November!  Funny thing is, I'll have 2 weeks off in November, so lots of time for swatching after UK indie month : D
