Hello lovelies! A couple weeks ago, The Polish Bar maker, Janice, sent me a package with a bit of everything by The Polish Bar to show you! It took me a while to swatch them all but here they are! The Polish Bar is featured on my Indie Guide Project and you can see the Janice interview here. 
 I hope you love them as much as I did! Brand contats and how to by are in the end of the post, as usual.

Cucu!! Hoje trago-vos um pouquinho de tudo o que a marca Indie The Polish Bar tem para nos oferecer. Demorei um bocadinho mas aqui estão os swatches dos lindíssimos vernizes que a Janice, a criadora, me enviou para vos mostrar! Esta marca já apareceu no blog, no meu Guia de Vernizes Indie e a entrevista com a criadora, a Janice, pode ser vista aqui.

Holiday Collection 2013

- Jingle Stars
Top coat glitter, clear base, blue, white, silver and black multizided and shaped glitter with silver stars. 1 to 2 coats. Glitters spread nice and evenly. 5 mins drying time. 






- Merry and Bright
Top coat glitter, clear base filled with small green glitter and large round multicolored glitter. 1 to 2 coats. 





- Soiree
Red Holographic Gelly. Gorgeous red gelly holographic polish. 3 -4 coats alone, 1 when layered over red. 5 mins drying time.






- Chocolat
Black Holographic Gelly - Stunning gelly black based holographic polish. 3 thin coats alone or 1 when layered over black. 5 mins drying time. 








Fall 2013 Collection

- Far Far away
Medium Purple Holographic Gelly - Gelly Medium purple with holographic finish. 3 coats for full opacity. french tip of nailart - see contrast with Cosmic Glow. 5 mins drying time.





- Cosmic Glow
Light lavander holographic gelly - Top shade of nailart. Light violet, lavender shade with gelly holographic finish. 4 thin coats for full opacity. 6mins drying time. 





- Sugar Kisses
White based glitter. White base color filled with light purple, light purple, nude and mint multisized and shaped small glitters. 3 coats for full opacity or 1 when layered over white. 5 mins drying time. 







Holo Gellies Collection
Cosmic Blue
Blue Gelly holographic polish - Cobalta blue is with 3 coats in the pictures. The formula applies very well and drying time is quite fast, around 5 mins.
A aplicação é muito simples, sendo necessárias 3 camadas para o efeito abaixo. Cerca de 5 mins de tempo de secagem.

Alter Ego Nail Enamel - Review

Hello Lovelies, remember Cynthia, from Alter Ego Nail Enamel? Cynthia sent me this amazing shades to review and show you. Terra Cotta Planter is a gorgeous brick earth shade with a suede finish  and Armed Forces Vet is a Blue-Red glitter. She Shines! is a high shine top coat with an amazing fruity scent. Lets see them all.

Hello meninas. Lembram-se da Cynthia, criadora da Marca Indie Alter Ego Nail Enamel? A Cynthia enviou-me estes lindos meninos para review e para vos mostrar. O Terra Cotta Planter e um suede com um tom tijolo/terra e o Armed Forces Vet é um glitter concentradíssimo em glitters pequenos vermelhos e azuis. O She Shines! é um top coat para promover o brilho do verniz e tem um cheirinho delicioso. Vamos ver tudo?

Terra Cotta Planter

This polish has an orange brick / earth shade and a very pigmented formula. 2 thin coats for full opacity and around 5 mins drying time. The polish dries to a suede finish.

Este verniz tem um tom laranja meio tijolo meio terra. A fórmula é bastante bem pimentada e são apenas ncessárias 2 finas camadas para opacidade total e acabamento homogeneo. O tempo de secagem é de cerca de 5 mins. O acabamento final é suede/matte.


She Shines ! 


Thumb, indicator and ring finger with She Shines! for you to see the differences in brightness and suede finish. She shines dries relatively fast an has an amazing fruity scent.

O She Shines é um top com a finalidade de aumentar o brilho do verniz. Neste caso o she shines confere o brilho ao acabamento suede do Terra Cotta Planter. O She Shines! tem um aroma frutado delicioso. Podem ver a diferença com e sem top coat nas fotos abaixo. Polegar, indicador e anelar com top coat.




Armed Forces Vet


1 Coat - Indicator vs 2 coats in middle finger. Armed Forces Vet  is a highly pigmented glitter top coat filled with blue and red glitters. Layers quite easily and the outcome is very homogeneous. Drying time is around 6 mins without top coat. 
1 camada no dedo indicador e duas na unha do dedo médio. O Armed Forces Vet é um top coat glitter altamente concentrado em glitter vermelho, azul e prateado. Os glitters dispersam-se na unha com facilidade e o acabamento fica homogeneo. O tempo de secagem é de cerca de 6 mins sem top coat.

The Polish Bar - Cobalt Blue and Jingle Stars

Hello ladies! Are you enjoying the 1st days of 2014? Here in Portugal the weather is going from bad to terrible and it doesn't stop raining!
Even tho there is almost no sunlight to swatch, we can always count on out faithfull box and white light!=D
Today I have to indies, from The Polish Bar brand, and while Cobalt Blue belongs to the SummerHolo Jellies Collection, Jingle Stars belongs to the Holliday 2013 collection!
 I wore this combo during a couple of days, this holidays and I loved it! It was a huge success!
Olá!! Espero que estejam a aproveitar os últimos dias das férias de Natal e a gostar dos primeiros dias de 2014! Por enquanto o tempo está bem chuvoso e sabe mesmo bem estar por casa a arranjar as unhas!
Apesar de não haver quase luz nenhuma, posso sempre contar com as luzes brancas e com a lightbox!
Hoje trago-vos uma manicure com Indies, feita durante as férias de Natal. Usei-a durante algums dias e foi um sucesso!

 Cobalt blue

This is a gorgeous shade of vivid blue in a holo jelly finish and an amazing pure shine! I have no top coat applied in any of the following pictures. 
Cobalta blue is with 3 coats in the pictures. The formula applies very well and drying time is quite fast, around 5 mins.

O Cobalt blue é um lindíssimo azul vivido e muito brilhante com um acabamento holo Jelly ! Em nenhuma das fotos abaixo , o verniz tem aplicação de top coat por cima. A aplicação é muito simples, sendo necessárias 3 camadas para o efeito abaixo. Cerca de 5 mins de tempo de secagem.





Jingle Stars

Jingle Stars is a glitter top coat, from the Holiday 2013 collection and is composed of blue, white, black and silver glitters in several shades, sizes and forms. We can find silver holographic stars, white bars and hexagons in several sizes an a lot of blue glitters in several shapes and shades.
2 coats over cobalt blue that spread very easily on the nail.

O Jingle Stars é um glitter top coat, colecção de Natal de 2013. É composto por uma base transparente repleta de  glitters de vários tons de azul, prata, preto e prateado, em vários tamanho. 
Podemos encontrar pequenas estrelinhas prateadas, glitter em barra branco e glitter hexagonal em vários tamanhos e tons de azul, branco, prata e preto.
2 camadas sobre o Cobalt Blue, sendo que a aplicação é muito simples e os glitters distribuem-se homogeneamente e sem qualquer dificuldade.

For those who don't know what I am talking about (Follow me through Facebook to know a lot more!) I am making an Indie Guide A-Z! This will be a huge project and a enormous pleasure to do! So .. what am I going to do? Everyday, I'm going to show you a different brand of Indie Nail Polishes (and some of their major stockists too!! )

Where are you from? Almere, Flevoland, The Netherlands
When have you started? July 2013

Is there  a story behind the name of your brand? Yes, http://www.etsy.com/nl/shop/PolishAlcoholic

How many polishes/collections have you created? As of today there are 29 polishes available at my shop from holo to duo chrome to glow in the dark to glitter and even glow in the dark. Some of them are part of collections and others are stand alone's. 
Is there a special polish/collection? Why? Not at this time. I mean, all polishes are special by themselves :D

Do you have a best seller? I've made a holographic top coat (Spectraflair 35) that glows blue in the dark a while back which was sold out in just one day. Therefore I decided to create more glow in the dark/holo polishes. A purple version will be available from October 9th.

Where you a polish addicted before starting making polishes? Absolutely. I collect polish for about four years now and blog about it since slightly over a year. 
Did you have a blog before making polishes or have you started one after? Yes I do! I share my love for nail polish and nail art here: http://polishalcoholic.com/
 
Whats your favorite thing about making polishes? Creating a new unique shade (with the perfect combination of glitter). 

Can you tell us a curious thing that has happened to you with some client or something funny? Hmmm that's hard. Especially since I just started :D
